Day 01 Arrive Chennai
Arrive in Chennai. After completing formalities with
customs and immigration, you will be received by our
representative with Traditional Indian Welcome (with
garlands). On arrival drive to Mahabalipuram .
Madras is a fascinating city with its ancient temples
and unique culture, golden sandy beaches merging with
the breakers of the Bay of Bengal and a marvelous
tradition of music and dance.

Day 02 In Chennai
This morning, tour of Chennai city, visiting the
National Museum, with its outstanding collection of
Indian bronze statutes; the Cathedral of San Thome,
associated with the Apostle of St Thomas; and the
Kapaleeshwar Temple at Mylapore.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 In Chennai
Today drive hours out, to visit the temple complexes at
Mahabalipuram, whose carvings of animals and figures
recount the Mahabharata episode of Arjuna's penance..
After lunch at Fisherman's Cove, Covelong, visit
Dakshinachitra, a center for living traditions & culture
of the four Southern states of India.
Return back to the hotel
Day 04 Chennai - Madurai (
Flight )
Fly Chennai to Madurai. On arrival in Madurai, met &
transferred to hotel.
Rest of the evening free at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 In Madurai.
Visit the Meenakshi Temple, with its Hall of a Thousand
Pillars. Also visit Tirumal Nayak's Palace, a highly
decorative style palace with elegant wooden sculpture
and carvings.

Day 06 Madurai – Periyar
Surface ( Approx 140 Kms /03 Hours )
Continue south this morning to Thekkady, home to spice
plantations and the Periyar National Park. Check in to
the hotel.
Afternoon, visit Periyar National Park, a 300 square
mile preserve set around an artificial lake, surrounded
by semi evergreen forested hills, known for its herd of
elephants, along with gaur, chittal, wild boar and
frolicking otters. You travel by motor launch and get
excellent bird watching opportunities.

Day 07 Periyar – Kumarakom
Descend from the Western Ghats into the plains of Kerala
where you arrive Kumarakom, famous for its network of
lakes, lagoons, and canals known as the "backwaters", a
geographical feature of rural southern Kerala, along
whose shores, all life revolves.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Kumarakom – Cochin
Surface ( Approx 90 Kms/ 03 Hours )
Drive the short distance north to Cochin and check in at
our hotel.
In the evening, enjoy a performance of Kathakali, the
native dance drama of Kerala, that narrates episodes
from India's religious epics, the Ramayana and the
Mahabharata.

Day 09 In Cochin
After breakfast, visit the Portuguese built Dutch
Palace, now a museum, the Jewish Quarter of the city; St
Francis Church where Vasco da Gama was buried and the
famous Chinese fishing nets. End the afternoon with
sunset cruise through Cochin Harbour.
Day 10 Depart Cochin (
Flight )
Transfer to airport to connect the flight for Mumbai. On
arrival received at the airport and are transferred to
the International airport to connect the flight back
home.
